Why would I need this?
Great question! Whether you need more USBs for power between the front driver/passenger or for kids in the back seat, this can help offer more USB options for power. The USB outlets from factory are not meant to charge and are susceptible to break if too much power is trying to be drawn. This alleviates that risk by creating a whole separate power circuit for USB outlets.
Where can this be installed?
The kit comes with wire lengths enough to install either side of the center console (as shown) or behind the center console for kids to have power for tablets and other devices.
I’m not good with electronics, can I install this?
Absolutely! The hardest part is cutting the plastic to allow install, which can be done with a 1.125″ hole saw which mounts on a standard drill. Once cut the wiring is all colored and plug and play. A full write up is available to read now on how this installation goes.
