Subaru made a lot of great design decisions on the latest Subaru models but one area that feels neglected is the trunk. The weak cargo light offers little to no usable light and there is no 12V outlet. Well in wanting to fix that I give you the 3D printed trunk switch and 12V outlet! This drop in panel to the stock cargo light location allows you to run LED lights on the hatch door to replace the weak ineffective cargo light, as well as add a 12V outlet for pumps, chargers and other small draw items. This product comes with all you see however no installation instructions will be provided. We would advise wiring the new trunk lights to the original cargo light power source so they stay conditional to when the door is shut. The 12V outlet we highly advise running dedicated wires from the Battery or fuse panel with 12 gauge or thicker wire, and a fuse as close to the power source as possible.

How does this install?
Simply remove the existing trunk lamp using a small screw driver or trim removal tool, this pops into the existing pocket and has 2 tabs to secure to the body panel

What is the switch used for?
Whatever you’d like! We left this as an optional place to either control power to the DC outlet, control hatch lights, a hardwired fridge, anything!

Why do I need a DC outlet anyway?
From air compressors, off road fridges, to a DC USB adapter, this allows a lot more power options at the rear of your vehicle. Whether you use your car for day trips and just need to refill bicycle tires, camping for a weekend and need a fridge running, the options become endless with more utilities at your fingertips.
