Recently there has been a number of people claiming to be either myself (Steve) or an employee of SMK often to sell used car parts on social media. SMK will NEVER sell any products other than my products or approved vendors products through my website or eBay. If you are seeing anyone trying to sell a product that isn’t myself (Steve K) or that claims to be working for SMK please report to me so I may address the issue.

About Us
SMK is a one man show.
I started SMK in 2010 while in college for Manufacturing Engineering to make custom dead pedals while in college. I then spent 2014-2016 working for IAG Performance as their Manufacturing/Design Engineering. While at IAG I developed their V2 fuel rails, V2 AOS and the lead designer for the Closed Deck block able to push 1200 HP out of a factory 2.5L EJ250 block.
I have been in the off-roading scene since 2010 when I made a custom accessories for my 2004 WRX for hunting and off-roading. This lifestyle of off-roading and camping has been deep in my blood since my childhood. I am an avid outdoorsman & Eagle Scout and want to help others get off the beaten path. SMK has always been a way for me to use my Fabrication & Engineering skills with my love for the outdoors and to help others get out there!
From Humble Beginnings
SMK Started in my apartment with a single 3D printer. After enough demand I created an Etsy store and began selling my 3D printed switches and slowly began the adventure that would be SMK. As my business grew so did my need for space with my dining room quickly became converted to a full production space and inventory management. Even going so far as to process metal brackets on my balcony and in the parking lot. Soon it was evident I needed more space and needed to expand. Taught myself to design this website and finally moved my business to my own independent site!
To Expansion
In June of 2023 I started renting an industrial space in Turlock, CA where we reside today. This 1200 sq-ft facility gave me room to expand, the ability to manufacture more in house and an office to begin to run my business as its own entity. With the space I now have:
- Langmuir Systems Plasma cutting table with a Cut60 plasma cutter from Primeweld
- A 225a TIG welder from Primeweld
- 8 3D printers (Bambul Labs and Ender)
- Harbor Freight 20T press with a 12″ break
- In house Powder Coating system
- Sand Blasting Cabinet
- Various other fabrication equipment
